The Uganda Project

Giving back has always been important to me. the project I've devoted the most time, energy, and heart to is the Spirulina Initiative in Uganda. I've been involved in helping develop and expand a program focused on growing spirulina as a sustainable source of nutrition for a community facing malnutrition.

Every week at school, I work with my team to research how spirulina can help people suffering from malnutrition, explore different ways to grow and cultivate it, and plan the development of a greenhouse on campus.

It's been incredibly rewarding to see how far the program has come, from its early stages to the greenhouses and growing operations in place today. I'm proud of what we've accomplished, but I also know there's still so much more to do.

I'm currently preparing for another trip to Uganda, where I'll be checking on the progress of the spirulina greenhouses, working through challenges, and exploring ways to improve production and make the program more sustainable.
